LOL

2019-06-02 10:35:03 UTC

Figma hatsune miku is quite tempting

can i post a doll that i 3d printed?
i didnt make the schematics but i had to add hair, eyes, etc

2019-06-02 10:36:40 UTC

Ooooh, sounds cool! Is it wholesomem

I accidentally made the eyes menacing
Give me a second

She measures at about 22-25? inches in height
Those black spots are from me fucking up my first paint job attempt

2019-06-02 10:44:49 UTC

Cute

2019-06-02 10:49:53 UTC

Wow!!! How did you make her?

I said I used a 3D printer

I could make her *useable* if I used molds, interior skeletons, and some soft material like silicon

2019-06-02 10:51:55 UTC

Yeah

2019-06-02 10:52:17 UTC

But how difficult would it be to make a mold?

2019-06-02 10:52:26 UTC

And the price of silicone?

Since I mentioned I've no idea how to use 3D modelling applications like AUTOCAD (I only installed the schematics online)
I don't know the difficulty in creating a mold but the time alone is already absurd beyond belief
The time alone to print out the small parts like the limbs by average was at least 2 days
The parts like the chest and torso almost took an entire week

Also, I've no idea on the price of silicone so I can safely assume that she will cost you at least $300

2019-06-02 10:56:34 UTC

Yeah i thought the 3d printing will cost a ton

2019-06-02 10:56:43 UTC

And consume a lot of ti.e

She turned out well for a middle ground 3D printer since the project almost broke my 3D printer

2019-06-02 10:57:54 UTC

Which material did you use?

TPA filament

2019-06-02 10:59:35 UTC

Interesting, I haven't heard of that one before. My uni has PLA printers for students to use. That's why the finish of your doll looks much nicer

wait shit, i meant PLA
my loss of sleep is making me stupid

2019-06-02 11:01:21 UTC

Wait, those parts are PLA?!

<:tard:480186130105630730>

2019-06-02 11:01:24 UTC

Damn

yea, I just painted them over

2019-06-02 11:01:31 UTC

Did you sand them?

2019-06-02 11:01:37 UTC

Ah that's why

Yea I sanded them off first before painting, otherwise the texture would show

2019-06-02 11:02:27 UTC

Yeah

2019-06-02 11:02:44 UTC

She looks very good for a pla print. Very nice!

Ever since I finished printing her, I don't know why my 3D printer stopped working :<:why:480186116222353410>

The filament would get thin at some point in the beginning of any project and break the entire damn thing midway

2019-06-02 11:04:37 UTC

Shall we move to another chat? I feel we're diverging from wholesome waifus quite a bit XD
