that said, I'm still cheap as shit about it
I got a PS4 Pro the month before the rona went mainstream and paid $300, brand new
Nice
and I'm planning on selling it on some sort of trade-in deal to get the PS5 for hopefully $200 if not less
what do you like about the ps5
for me a big thing is the UI
while the PS4 UI isn't as GOAT as the PS3's XMB was
it's still way better than the Xbox UI in my opinion
of course the Xbox UI suffers from feeling like it belongs on a tablet or phone, and just to take some cues from the tablets and phones it's trying to be, it hides some of the settings that can literally make or break the console's functionality in menus that have nothing to do with said settings
lol epic
the Xbox UI takes everything I hate about Windows
and makes it worse
is it the same on the new console?
I'm sure there'll be some updates, but other than the original Xbox 360 UI, I have hated every single interface MS has made for consoles
they're not intuitive and they're way too full of advertising
I turn my PS4 on and I see it waiting to open the last game I was playing
I turn on my nephew's Xbox One and I see at least 2 ads
are there games you're excited about. I like the xbox is backwards compat all the way to the old xbox
I wish the ps5 had that
FF7 Remake will most assuredly end up on PS5 and frankly I wouldn't be surprised if they gave owners of the first part on PS4 a free upgraded version since that's the hot new trend
in theory, the PS5 now has enough power that they could write a functional PS3 emulator, they did the same with a PS2 emulator for PS3 in the past
it's just a matter of if they feel like it
shame
but generally speaking Sony seems to take the approach of "Bruh just emulate it. We're not going to stop you. They literally used leaked PSP design docs to code PPSSPP and we *do not care*."
oh I know, I have a psvita
with Xbox I just don't see the appeal of backwards compatibility
I wanna play original xbox games
and 360 games
see I was never into original xbox
or 360 really
I like old games alot
like I've looked at the libraries and there's just nothing there I'm interested in that I can't get on PC
like for the longest time it was Halo
but now I have MCC
I mean you can emulate everything sure
nah, Xbox and 360 are the two consoles that don't have a big emulation scene
it's just the games themselves either have PC ports or just never really caught my eye
I put nes and snes emulators on the vita just so I can play those games conveniently. I just want to be able to play xbox and 360 games on my couch easily
but idk
I might get a ps5 I really haven't decided
