Yeah I’m the same way. I went to the store today with my mom and she wore hers, she is against wearing it and thinks it’s dumb but she does it because she “cares about the elderly” I explained to her that they are at the store with us. If they are really that scared they should just stay home I don’t have to wear shit if I don’t want to. I will only put one on if someone comes up to me and politely asks me and then I take it off when they leave because I don’t do dumb shit
Had a police officer offer me one at the city Christmas light ordeal. I waved, said thanks, but no thanks, and merry Christmas. He seemed to understand.
I’ve had not one person say anything to me. I haven’t worn a mask AT ALL when I’m alone. No one says shit bc they are cashiers, waitresses, etc. they don’t gaf, they’re at work.... they aren’t the health department. I’ve gotten some looks, but I usually get “good mornings” & “how are yas” from the store managers
I’m 5’2 120lbs and no one ever calls me out. I’m slowly convincing my 6’2 husband that no one will bother him if he doesn’t. He’s coming around. Most ppl wear them bc they don’t want to be yelled at by a 16 yr old in Walmart

I wear a mask at work because in order to make money I have to “wear” one people see me “wearing it” less and less though

My wife tells me this “the old people are gonna die, they are the only ones watching the news. Eventually all the racism and the stupidity from old people will go away because they’re gonna be dead. So just make them happy and eventually it’ll be over” pretty callous but true.
I constantly am faced with death. I know one day I’m gonna die. I think on it regularly. We need to stop being so fucking afraid of it.

Last year I came to the conclusion that death isn’t going to be that bad. It’ll be okay, it’ll be sad for the ones I leave but it’ll be okay. I don’t wanna die but if I do it will be quick and not bad.

My whole family had covid I think I had it in March, all good with minimal symptoms. My grandma is from poor Mexico hung out with my mom while she had covid, she got nothing! She has an immune system like nobody else.
I’m married. And my neighbors are ugly. So, count me out.
