Mr. Wood soon established a reputation in the State of Georgia and beyond as a trial lawyer who could win large verdicts and settlements. Mr. Wood’s first defamation client was Richard Jewell, the security guard falsely accused in the 1996 Centennial Olympic Park bombing in Atlanta. Mr. Wood then went on to represent many other high profile individuals falsely accused by the media and in the Court of Public Opinion, including the parents of JonBenét Ramsey, John and the late Patsy Ramsey, and their son, Burke.
