This was my first thought because the riots in Portland and Seattle played out in a very similar way. In many cases a protest would start and then a second group would assimilate and instigate property damage and violence. Many rumors around it, some say undercover police joined the protest and started the damage so they would have cause to break up the protest, others point to antifa. I think it’s a mix of both. That’s why when I heard “Trump supports siege capital: 4 dead.” I was like .... hmmmmmmmmnahhh
