Rarely are generals (b.m.l.g.) in the crosshairs of line of fire or target zone, so if shit is going down it will be a blackout, and a blackout in the military for an idea...if overseas on a fob or base, if shit happens then they blackout the whole base or any connection with certain areas to cut down on communication, so ten days of darkness would be related to that
