I work as a Systems Admin, and I will tell you the best way to avoid being tracked without using something like a VPN is to setup a PiHole. It prevents advertisers from tracking you. They can't build a profile off of you, etc. Ad tokens will probably become the next best way to track you. It's nice blocking 100s of thousands of ads a day 🙂
