The potential of the technology is absolutely terrifying and the fact that companies are activity trying to develop injectables that will allow you to a control robot remotely with your mind is fucking terrifying. They act like you can just send it to the fucking Kroger for you or something. Of course this would inevitably connect to a collective AI system that will become a real danger. One of the great tragedies of the last decades is that as a society we haven’t had an open discussion of the potentials and dangers of AI and human/machine connectivity. But of course it’s by design that the discussion has never happened, obviously.
