The Republican party: "do everything yourself, we are not going to help/pander to your will"
The Democratic party: "we will help you, we will pander to your will" just work for free and be poor
voters in blue states/cities: "I want more money, oh hey, this democrat politician says he will help us, hell yeah, and they say republicans are racist so I must vote for the democrats"
voters in red states/cities: "well I already do everything myself, and I see the democratic party is full of socialist just wanting to enslave us all for personal gain, sure republican party doesn't do much, but at least its not much"
