Yer Asian
EuroAsian
Lol idk
iAsian
I'm an amalgamation if different ethnicities
I'm waiting to play my 14% African card
So long as the left wants to play with identity politics
Same, I have many countries to thank for my genetics. Like most people alive today.
People just want to choose sides
Like how kamala chooses to be just jamaican instead of being Indian 🙄
My late grandfather used to say that he isn't a minority, he's the majority because he's a US citizen
We've been systematically divided since the 1960s at least.
How so
It started with War v Peace
Then Abortion v No Abortion
Then Religion v Atheist
Then White v Black
Then Republican v Democrat
Oh I gotchu
Yeah I'd say more like ideologically polarized
I dunno if it's systematic
It comes from those in charge, so I used systematically
Fallacy of Equivocation, if you will
The latest push to dehumanize everyone who's right of Stalin has me the most worried
What do you mean?
We call lefties _whiny crybabies_
They call us _genocidal racists_
What's more dehumanizing than that?
So common day witch hunt type thing
Modern Day McCarthyism
Only the commies are in charge this time
Pretty much
My American Lit class is studying The Crucible at the moment and I want to bring up the McCarthyism and witch hunts in class
I don't have enough faith in my classmates to add the two together
I haven't had a class in 20 years. Can't remember the crucible, or if I read it.
I'd just caution that you have your facts together. You're gonna have many of your peers angry with you.
Yeah
Well I kind of splayed out what I know to one of my friends at the moment
In short, going against public opinion or being accused of something can create a mob
Your reputation, job, life, will be in ruins
And you'll be socially isolated
At least that's how I see it
Social media enables that mob mentality to doxx people and basically send a lynch mob to your door
Is your focus on Social Media or are you going broader than that?
I'd say social media because it's more relatable to students and cancel culture happens on the internet
Are you prepped to answer "why" it's become acceptable and "how" that happened?
Also, do you do well with public speaking?
