humans will probs die by either an asteroid or by a rival space species
Nah, we'll do what the Krogans did long before then
Heaven is where God and the Angel's reside, it is not for us. Neither is Hell. When Jesus was on the cross the two criminals with him confessed to him and Jesus said "we will go to Paradise", my understanding of the text and the original Hebrew is that heaven and paradise are different words with different meanings.
Thus, when we die no matter what we do in life - paradise awaits
Or
Reincarnation
Or
The Void
Its your choice
anything but the void.
Reincarnation like NG+ would be cool ngl
I wonder what the Jews meant by their version of Sheol then. Doesn’t it translate to “the grave”?
I havent checked
Sounds kinda similar to the Greek version of the river Styx and the underworld
being religious, all I am certain of truly is that death is not the absolute final stop
Its something I need to look into because if I am wrong in my interpretation of the words, then my view is going to change when corrected
@Ju$T b0Rg1Ka I certainly hope it’s not
I am fairly confident this is not my first time walking Terra and it will not be my last.
I wonder where all the animals, or all previous life on earth have gone post-death
Like, yknow pets and what not
question is, what is our consciousness? Is it a soul? A unique set of neural pathways?
Unsure
@nate112332 that’s why I lean on reincarnation a little bit, because that matter has to go somewhere. It’s not destroyed
No definitive answer has been agreed upon yet
For as long as our little blue ball has been spinning around the sun, death can not be the end
@KenneticEnergy But then why don't we keep memories through death?
Life.. uh, finds a way
Lol
Existence is just too interesting
@nate112332 new neural cells, new brain wouldn’t keep any of the old memories
Physiologically that would make sense
If we did have past lives, we would have no way of knowing or discovering it
Reminds me of Yrel's line in the Abhorsen trilogy; "I like sleeping...and I like fish. I like many other things as well and that is why I, Yrel, stand against you."
Right, live 20 times and you'll simply not give a damn. What if memories are unloaded onto a server that we can access only in death, then be reincarnated when ready?
well "server" is the best word for it
tbf we could be in a matrix
@nate112332 yeah you wouldn’t keep any of the old memories, and you wouldn’t be the wiser
idk
@nate112332 you are in the matrix
Hmmmmm
