Why does the catholic church worship Mary as an idol and tell it's members they can be forgiven of their sins if they say so many hail mary's?

Also why are the priest called father, and why must u ask the priests for forgiveness?

The bible teaches to have no idols, to call no one father but God in heaven and that you are saved by believing in Jesus

U cannot earn ur salvation

But the catholic church teaches u can earn salvation

Salvation is a gift and all u must do is believe in Jesus

It's very confusing to most Christians but repentance comes after you've received salvation it's not a qualification for salvation
