I guess I won't be able to play a lot of German music in my future videos on their history
5 months later, the director of project management wanted a manufacturing engineer with an MBA in project management..
So I get curbed, but I'm lucky because I'm an employee of my consulting firm and they move me to OH.
The people here seem to love me. The cost of living is amazing compared to everywhere else. I've received raises every year and am hoping for a promotion in this month.
I see where the slight regret for not pursuing engineering comes in
Everything is finally coming up millhouse.
Except no one wants to let me run a project, because I'm not an engineer.
I just found out a potential project manager/program manager role that I was mentioned for was given to someone else... an engineer... with PMP.
Yeah nowadays you need a degree otherwise they won't let your grubby hands on it
Kind of ridiculous
And I've been told, several times, they can't put me in anything I want because I'm not an engineer.
This is what oversaturating the market with tards with a special piece of paper does
No technical engineering ability, none of the good stuff.
@ManOWar This stupid culture is the only reason universities are still so powerful
Imagine my disdain when i start seeing new hires, not contractors, all women. And the one that just joined the team isn't even a real engineer, she's an engineering management major.
@Juanito I know. Degrees are alright but on the job experience is what actually matters
But, equality and whatnot.
^^^^^
Fuck I imagine it grinds the gears
^
Don't get me wrong, she's not stupid.
But, I wouldn't have hired her. And I don't think anyone without a quota would have, either.
Right and thats the issue
But whatever
^
Injustices like these are mostly HR's fault
But, what gets me is that I had the opportunity to learn how to be an engineer. I could have lived my 20s making engineer bank.
Silicon Valley at the turn of the millennium? Dude.
Dude you wouldnt be talking to us
Thats for sure
^
And I spent that time playing DnD, playstation, and wearing a joke uniform and getting paid shit to be looked at by my inferiors as some fat bastard that couldn't get a real job.
gender quotas are making our society economically inefficient
Welp, discipline has been a major weakness all my life. Never wanted anything bad enough to do anything to get it.
Still don't.
So I resort to habit building and removing obstacles.
Sounds like me
Im so glad I asked you because I definitely am the same.
Because I still can't be assed to give even half a fuck.
That tends to be the issue with people who are gifted in the intelligence department
