this is warhammer.

2020-12-09 17:48:30 UTC

very nice

2020-12-09 18:12:35 UTC

@TheCraziestOregonian that last one

2020-12-09 18:12:37 UTC

um

2020-12-09 18:13:05 UTC

I think I should've put it in the cursed channel instead

2020-12-09 18:13:13 UTC

I got that from searching for nerf memes though

2020-12-09 18:13:19 UTC

oof

2020-12-09 18:13:32 UTC

wait the horse one or the wife one

2020-12-09 18:13:41 UTC

horse

2020-12-09 18:14:23 UTC

Vaccines aren't hard to understand - you get a weak/dead virus so your body recognizes it and remembers how to fight it

2020-12-09 18:15:17 UTC

oof

2020-12-09 18:15:43 UTC

so yes, you do technically "get it" either way, the difference being that you do not get sick from a vaccine and you are not contagious after it's been administered and the immune system knows it

2020-12-09 18:16:22 UTC

Ooh warhamer

2020-12-09 18:16:44 UTC

Favorite space marine company. GO

Salamanders

2020-12-09 18:17:01 UTC

Immune systems aren't really that good at fighting diseases, which is why we have vaccines for the deadliest/most common ones @Dank_Furry_Pirate @Kayox

2020-12-09 18:17:11 UTC

and yeah, **up to** five years

2020-12-09 18:17:24 UTC

but it can be shorter if the final phase with irl trials is shorter

2020-12-09 18:17:33 UTC

also if we already know similar viruses

2020-12-09 18:17:33 UTC

I'm still gonna wait for other to try it first

2020-12-09 18:17:36 UTC

@Lich King if immune systems weren't good at fighting diseases then everyone would be dead

2020-12-09 18:17:48 UTC

Because vaccines used to not exist

2020-12-09 18:17:49 UTC

mind you, smallpox has a 30% mortality

2020-12-09 18:18:01 UTC

But with a weak immune system..

2020-12-09 18:18:06 UTC

yeah so a lot more people used to die

2020-12-09 18:18:07 UTC

they're good and get better
but with some diseases our immune system needs help

2020-12-09 18:18:08 UTC

than now

2020-12-09 18:18:24 UTC

30% mortality among healthy individuals dude

2020-12-09 18:18:35 UTC

that means that out of 10, three die.

2020-12-09 18:18:39 UTC

every ten

2020-12-09 18:18:48 UTC

I don't think vaccines are bad
but rushing one
I'll just wait a little bit

2020-12-09 18:18:49 UTC

the plague was even worse

2020-12-09 18:18:55 UTC

no, you're right

2020-12-09 18:19:26 UTC

but the irl trials that I keep referring to involve a test group of 20-30k volunteers that get a check in return for trying it out

2020-12-09 18:19:40 UTC

a check you say?

2020-12-09 18:19:48 UTC

that's not new, this method of vaccine making has been in the works for more than half a century
