The same info is only now released on media you trust

2021-01-05 19:09:08 UTC

Could it be that it is used for another purpose

2021-01-05 19:09:44 UTC

Like for example, fearmongering and further distrust of the CCP

2021-01-05 19:10:23 UTC

(For clarification here, I’m not defending the CCP, I just don’t want my info to come from illegitimate sources backed by cults and maniacs)

2021-01-05 19:12:43 UTC

Jack Ma, the multibillionaire founder of tech companies Alibaba and Ant Group, went missing after criticizing China's financial system by calling for changes and reforms.
>>>>>
Apparently Ma would not agree with your evaluation of things... fotrunately he is safe for now

2021-01-05 19:13:19 UTC

Where is this from?

2021-01-05 19:14:36 UTC

So the problem I have is, by your rubric, would posting CNN be considered a good source? Like if we applied the scrutiny of association and not the quality of the article, does your post count?

2021-01-05 19:15:13 UTC

You asked me to find a source

2021-01-05 19:15:28 UTC

CNN, to me, is as reliable as The Epoch Times

2021-01-05 19:16:05 UTC

The article in itself doesn’t matter in this scenario but it shows that the information was out there way before

2021-01-05 19:16:06 UTC

I asked to find a source that fits the rubric you want for the epoch times.

2021-01-05 19:17:05 UTC

Cause if we are using associations and not the work as a rubric, then what exactly are we left with. I don't mind CNN when they get it right. Same should go for all publications.

2021-01-05 19:20:29 UTC

@ToxicTransgender if you had to look up a source for the events of Tiannamen Square, what would you use? I always find new sources articles about past events to be interesting litmus test for how diligent their work is.

2021-01-05 19:21:34 UTC

I could use anything to look for Tiananmen Square but it’s accuracy I couldn’t necessarily judge since I’m not too well learned on that subject

2021-01-05 19:24:03 UTC

https://www.history.com/topics/china/tiananmen-square
This is a rundown of the massacre at Tiannamen Square.

2021-01-05 19:25:14 UTC

History.com is a website that just reports on historical events. If you had to get a rundown of events from a news company, who would you use as a source.

2021-01-05 19:25:32 UTC

You’re gonna hate me for this

2021-01-05 19:25:35 UTC

Probably CBC

2021-01-05 19:25:48 UTC

(Canadian BBC)

2021-01-05 19:26:39 UTC

I don't hate people, too much wasted energy. So you would use CBC to get information about the Tiannamen Square Massacre? Does the CBC meet your association requirements that you place on the Epoch Times?

2021-01-05 19:26:58 UTC

CBC has been proven to be trustworthy and accurate many many a times

2021-01-05 19:27:11 UTC

It’s one of the best news organizations in the country

2021-01-05 19:27:25 UTC

And I trust their information in most cases

2021-01-05 19:27:33 UTC

Wait, so its a different rubric for the CBC?

2021-01-05 19:27:41 UTC

(I don’t like to look at opinion pieces)

2021-01-05 19:27:47 UTC

You can go look that up

2021-01-05 19:27:57 UTC

But I would consider the CBC to be very trustworthy

2021-01-05 19:28:30 UTC

So you judge by the articles and not who invest/runs it?

2021-01-05 19:29:21 UTC

State run media rarely gets praise here. But I guess there is a first for everything.

2021-01-05 19:31:56 UTC

I trust it because it’s backers aren’t tyrants or cultists

2021-01-05 19:32:20 UTC

I’m not too fond of our government but I still trust some information they put out there

2021-01-05 19:34:44 UTC

https://theconversation.com/hard-evidence-how-biased-is-the-bbc-17028
........
"So the evidence from the research is clear. The BBC tends to reproduce a Conservative, Eurosceptic, pro-business version of the world, not a left-wing, anti-business agenda.
>>>>>>>>>>>
among other things, what is hliarious about this article is that most bbc followers are quite of the opposite specturm... imho

2021-01-05 19:35:15 UTC

Is you a dumb

2021-01-05 19:35:21 UTC

CBC not BBC

2021-01-05 19:35:24 UTC

Also

2021-01-05 19:35:29 UTC

I’m not surprised

2021-01-05 19:35:38 UTC

same difference

2021-01-05 19:35:44 UTC

It really isn’t

2021-01-05 19:35:48 UTC

Apples to oranges

2021-01-05 19:35:54 UTC

Is ABC the same too?
