He said turning on sure high quality normals worked for him
Quick Google search says flashing should be relatively straightforward
@windows96 , thanks man
So question for y'all. My x-box one S is having issues. It works perfectly fine with one TV in one of the rooms, but not on the other tv in another room. I've tried plugging it in to a different HDMI port, as well as plugging it in to other sockets on the power strip and directly into the wall, but none of those worked. Any ideas as to why?
My guess is if it works well on one tv and not the other, the hdmi port on the tv or something with the tv is your culprit. Different HDMI port same tv? Could be a short or something
Yeah, it's on a different TV. The thing is that on the one TV it just straight up doesn't turn on, so idk if that has to do with the HDMI. Not very good with this kind of thing.
It may be turning on but if it isn’t detecting any input it won’t display anything. When you press the power does the screen become slightly brighter when you try to turn it on or not
No.
The power button doesn't light up at all and it doesn't make any noise either.
All the power chords hooked up correctly?
Yup. Double and triple checked.
Also kinda blindly helping you. How old is the tv
Not very old. Maybe 2-3 yrs
Hmm
Happen to know what model?
The tv it is connected to now and functions well on is 5-6 yrs old
If so I could look further into the model see if I can find a possible reason
No clue. We don't have the box anymore and I can't look at the moment.
Okay. 2-3 years old completely dead. Interesting
The TV itself runs perfectly fine is the thing. It's just the connected device that won't work. Which is odd since the sound bar is wired to it via HDMI as well and functions fine but even when I switch it to that HDMI the sound bar is using it won't work.
Wait it does turn on?
The TV?
Hold on let me read back through I believe I may have mis read something
The one the Xbox won’t work with
Yes. You can go through all the apps on it and everything. We even use our switch on it sometimes.
Oh okay, well ignore everything I just said than I was under the belief the tv didn’t even turn on lol. Sorry
Have you tried a different hdmi cable by chance
I have not. Idk that I have another one lying around.
Is it possible that it is still the cable it the same cable works fine on another TV?
One s has two ports, I couldn’t tell you the difference I’m not that techy but make sure it’s in the right port
Yeah. I didn't unplug it at all when moving it between tv's.
It works on the one tv downstairs still but not the upstairs even though I didn't switch it to a different port at all.
Can’t put my mind to what could cause it other than the cable or faulty HDMI ports. Microsoft has really great support forums, more than likely someone has dealt with the same issue. Just google the issue on xBox One S and stuff should come up. It’s pretty much how I fixed all my issues when I had a One S
Alrighty. Thanks for trying!
@Brendan C. you're not the only one with that issue, my Grandma's Bravia TV doesn't work with my Nintendo switch but works with all the other TVs
Hmm
So it may be brands that are incompatible
I know my tv is a little samsung, but not sure of anything but that. All the other tv's are samsung as well.
Odd
