Regardless, what specifically is getting you to consider a new phone?

2021-01-02 03:17:36 UTC

Well someone was saying how nice his Samsung S10 was. I also was thinking about getting one that has USB-C since I need/want it for something. Also hoping it get better game performance/battery life. Then I decided to look up the s10, and the vids I watched made me want to get one really bad 😭

2021-01-02 03:18:10 UTC

Hm, what is that something that requires USB-C?

2021-01-02 03:18:51 UTC

Recording sound externally. With the way I'm trying to do it I can't do it through a headphone jack <:PandaBag:252177413222563851>

2021-01-02 03:19:05 UTC

Recording/streaming

2021-01-02 03:19:34 UTC

Interesting, I don't usually understand why people stream

2021-01-02 03:19:41 UTC

XD

2021-01-02 03:20:12 UTC

Twitch stuff I get, not one person level things

2021-01-02 03:20:50 UTC

Oh, yeah, it's a bit hard to explain haha

2021-01-02 03:21:22 UTC

If I enjoy something, I keep it to myself and possibly share later

2021-01-02 03:21:30 UTC

Screenshots and all

2021-01-02 03:21:36 UTC

Lol

2021-01-02 03:21:40 UTC

Well

2021-01-02 03:21:47 UTC

Let's just say

2021-01-02 03:22:06 UTC

Rn they are listening via the phone. And it sounds aweful

2021-01-02 03:22:13 UTC

As in landline

2021-01-02 03:22:33 UTC

What does a landline have to do with streaming from your phone?

2021-01-02 03:22:53 UTC

That's the way we are "steaming" sound rn

2021-01-02 03:23:21 UTC

So I want to do it by a smartphone online but can't do it without the proper type of USB-C

2021-01-02 03:24:03 UTC

I still do not get it, you're gonna have to put it in blunt terms for me

2021-01-02 03:24:10 UTC

So

2021-01-02 03:25:33 UTC

We have an audio source. It's a mic. Someone talks into it. It comes through a series of stuff and eventually comes out an adio cable. Audio cable plugs into landline while connected to a call on a conference call place. People call into the conference call to listen.

2021-01-02 03:25:38 UTC

That's the current setup

2021-01-02 03:25:41 UTC

Lol

2021-01-02 03:28:03 UTC

So, we have a adapter that converts audio cable to USB-C. That plugs into USB-C phone, which is running a sound streaming setup. They go online and find the sound streaming, and listen there.

2021-01-02 03:28:08 UTC

Much higher quality

2021-01-02 03:28:39 UTC

So, you use a separate mic for landline conference calls?

2021-01-02 03:29:45 UTC

Oh wait

2021-01-02 03:30:07 UTC

Just to be clear, this is the *desired* setup, not the current one

2021-01-02 03:30:37 UTC

I missed saying that xD

2021-01-02 03:31:29 UTC

I need blunt descriptions 😅

2021-01-02 03:32:04 UTC

Idk how much more basic I can get <:PandaBag:252177413222563851>

2021-01-02 03:32:11 UTC

Still not quite getting it

2021-01-02 03:32:31 UTC

Heh, I learned the hard way to be as blunt as possible

2021-01-02 03:32:45 UTC

XD

2021-01-02 03:33:07 UTC

So you know how conference calls work on phones right?

2021-01-02 03:33:14 UTC

Yep

2021-01-02 03:33:41 UTC

So we set that up with a certain phone as the host

2021-01-02 03:34:10 UTC

We have audio coming through an audio cable that needs to be heard by other people

2021-01-02 03:35:04 UTC

So we run the sound into the phone, just as if someone was taking though the mic on the phone, but via audio cable instead

2021-01-02 03:35:27 UTC

So people call into the conference and can heard the audio that's being played
