Yall ever clean your cpu with bleach?

2021-01-06 08:34:29 UTC

@Donald J. Trump You know Opera is **just** owned by the Chinese. All the data and company operations is still in non-Chinese hands

Not perfect but pretty good

2021-01-06 12:02:22 UTC

@windows96 did you find another solution?

2021-01-06 12:46:32 UTC

VPN? Not one that works. I just stuck with rdp’ing to my home computer and accessing restricted sites that way

2021-01-06 12:47:05 UTC

Nowadays with the pandemic I’m in the office maybe 1-2 a month so it’s not a huge deal

2021-01-06 16:13:36 UTC

I gotta a question for you guys. So I got a new mic, but it is a passive mic (doesn't use phantom power) so it has to be boosted. I have been using a compressor to boost it in my DAW, but I can't use the mic for chatting in a vc b/c I cant figure out how to put a compressor on it in discord. Any advice?

2021-01-06 16:16:20 UTC

my signal chain is a Shure sm58 -> fifteen foot xlr cable -> focuserite 2i2 -> usb cable from 2i2 to computer

2021-01-07 15:26:43 UTC

Anyone mine crypto?

2021-01-07 15:27:28 UTC

I just set up miners on my wifes computer (rtx 2060) and mine (gtx1080) and these estimated earnings arent looking quite hot

2021-01-07 20:05:56 UTC

@windows96 how hot exactly

2021-01-07 20:15:54 UTC

About $2.50/day estimated

2021-01-07 23:55:27 UTC

You guys are smart, what kind of Ethernet cable do i need for console gaming? Cat 6/7/8?

2021-01-08 00:00:45 UTC

Wait they make cat 8? lol

2021-01-08 00:27:27 UTC

cat 5 is enough, unless you are running an EXTREMELY long run

2021-01-08 00:27:43 UTC

For the ehternet thats only gigabit on the consoles at least

2021-01-08 00:28:07 UTC

higher categories are for very long runs or higher speeds, which consoles do not and cannot support

2021-01-08 00:29:22 UTC

But it makes you feel better you can use cat 6, its really cheap

2021-01-08 00:38:32 UTC

How long is long? My house is a rectangle and i need to get a 100footer

2021-01-08 00:38:50 UTC

300 meters

2021-01-08 00:38:52 UTC

over 900 feet

2021-01-08 00:39:14 UTC

That would work well for next gen to?

2021-01-08 00:39:31 UTC

i would go for cat 6, just to guarrentee you have good signal at all times, and it barely costs more

2021-01-08 00:39:37 UTC

yes next gen is still the same ethernet speed

2021-01-08 00:39:48 UTC

Okay thanks

2021-01-08 00:39:52 UTC

np
