Hey, we started somewhere and that was Muzzleloaders
and we changed for a reason <:KEK:726877368601411624>
@CyberSpacePirate and @HUNTER4639 I chose a large caliber muzzle loader because it would be fine for any game available and I can also shoot shot for rabbits and birds. They are relatively light and reliable and I wouldnt need a rifle and shotgun.
Your going into the mountains to be a mountain man, not to hunt commies.
shotgun would be better....
And 2 guns to run around with is heavier by a factor of x2
ok so ditch the muzzleloader and go for a shotgun <:TrumpSmile:720121948088041513>
Just let me live out my Jeremiah Johnson fantasy will you?
Ya i would prob hunt both
Still AK more powerfull than high-cal muzzleloader
Energy its less but you do have follow up shots.
I aslo wouldn’t use 7.62x39 on elk
I would. You just gotta get close. 7.62 is pretty similar to 30-30 ballistically speaking, and people commonly use that for everything but grizzlies.
where I think 7.62 doesn't fit well in the mountain-man lifestyle is that if you can only have one gun, your limited to killing medium/big game.
AK also allows for follow up shots
Plus more ammo carrying ability
The Bible, at least 20 needles, a few gallons of Insulin, a shovel, flint and steel an axe, 1 or 2 Puuko(Finnish knife), knife sharpener, fishing rod, and Ima go to somewhere cold, live next to a lake.
Id definitly want my tomohawk and my Ka-Bar
True
Tomahawks are awesome
I got some misc stuff at dollar tree yesterday for my bugout bag
Matches, playing cards, lighters, pain killers, candles, and batteries
Do I post knives here? Not for prepping just edc
Yeah that works
some people post their knives in guns as well
My current EDC setup
nicee. that reminds me, I need to buy a new knife next pay check. I lost my griptillian on a run <:KEK:726877368601411624>
got a random question for you guys. Have ya'll given any though to an edc bag for college?
I have my current edc setup for high school running at around 30 pounds between books, our brick of a laptop the school issued us, food, water, booboo kit and meds, alternative cutting devices (just scissors and picks really), and usually a change of clothes. I want to refine my "system" for college though, as well as incorporate some level of ballistic protection.
my current bag isn't very ideal for this though due to limited padding and a pretty flimsy back-panel, so I am also looking for a new bag. any reccomendations?
Make sure whatever knives you bring, you can hide them sufficiently. Chances are you can just leave the bag in your dorm, so there's not a problem.
Sog make a knife called the ceo I think and would be very easy to hide, it’s very slim but long
Crkt my bad
thx. I may not carry a legit knife on campus, but will at least carry some less-than-lethal alt. if not.
ill check it out winnie
