I want a single shot so that I can get one
Long press your message and you can change or delete it
That is nice
If there is another civil war I just hope the military doesn’t get involved, let us fight it out without helicopters and jets 😂
lets just get our own helis and jets <:Smart:327093035852759050>
Modern problems require modern solutions.
I mean 95% of the military are conservative so...
When did you steal my EDC😆
nice kabar. I got an OKC instead, but I still love it :)
Nice
I should get myself a tacticool fixed blade
anyone here got a good recommendation for an air rifle? realistically, I just want it for target practice and plinking, but I would love to somehow integrate it into my shtf kit.
Ideally, I want something that can be dissembled into two or maybe three halves within 10-15 seconds and stored in a bag. This is because if we, by some horrible stroke of luck, end up in an apocalyptic/with-out-rule-of-law scenario where food is scarce, I don't want anyone knowing that I have: A) food in my possession or B) means of procuring food. Studying history, we have more than once seen starving societies turn from civil to murderous over mere bread crumbs. Take the siege of Jerusalem e.g. If I could break down a rifle and conceal it in a bag, I can easily walk to a half-a-dozen spots where I know the game is abundant.
In terms of what type of action I want, under-levers or multi-pumps sound like a good option if things are really bad, b/c then you dont have to carry a pump or procure co2 cartridges. I dont want a break barrel though, b/c my Papa has mentioned that they tend to wear out if you shoot a lot (which I kinda do) and generally lack accuracy for a handful of reasons. I also think a gun that is either suppressed or could be suppressed sounds nice too, but can live without it.
I have been looking for a bit now, but I haven't found many great options. :\
How do ya'll feel about something like a Benjamin multi pump though? Its a more pricey one, but seem to meat *most* of the criteria im after. Is there anything dif ya'll would want in terms of criteria?
100% fixed blades are the best
Ye xD
I have a morakniv, but it's not tacticool
nothing wrong with morakniv. They make great knives!
Yeah. Would still like a tacticool one though xD
Would also like to get a better sheath for the mora since its plastic one is cracking a bit
I mean for like $10 it’s totally worth it
Maybe 20 I don’t remember
About $17 when I bought it. Got the companion in high carbon
It's closer to $13 now, at least in some places I think
Probly the best ~$10 you can spend for survival stuff
Yeah haha
Pretty cool
anyone got a good recommendation for a whetstone/sharpener? Mine broke.. :/
Oof rip
Not exactly a recommendation but I use the Worksharp guided field sharpener. Not very big for sure but hey it works <:kek:731354627806593055>
Would like to get something bigger if I ever get the chance
thanks. Ye, i feel the same. my old stone was rather small to begin with, so i have always wanted a large table stone.
i also want to look at ceramic stones, cause my old one still left some big scratches that took forever to strop out, if I even felt like trying. <:KEK:795742276549607456>
Ceramic of whetstone, or ceramic over diamond? I heard diamond was usually recommended over whetstone for casual sharpening since they are generally more efficient I think; at least easier to use. Idk, that's what I've heard anyway
Im not necessarily looking for the most efficient thing, I'm just wanting to get a good fine-grit stone so that I can repair edges. idk what type of stone to get though and didnt even realize diamond was a thing. :\
How do ya'll feel about sharpening on a dry stone? I usually oil mine towards the end of the sharpening process, but I honestly am really lazy and tend to not oil in the beginning of a sharpening session. I just find it easier to clean the metal filings off a surface when its dry. Obviously, you hit a point where it only damages the blade/stone more than not, but do ya'll thing its acceptable to keep it dry for the initially reshaping strokes, or should it be avoided?
See, with diamond you don't have to wrry about that xD
