they got called all sorts of nasty things. Then their Bass player (who is an immigrant) came out to say its a unique job of music artists to put out a message. FFDP got shit on so hard for it, but liberal ass bands like Rage Against The Machine and all that are given a perfect pass. Its only when the wrong politics are spoken about in music when it becomes an issue.
