nice catch bro. I just got done at the pond and didnt so much as see a fish.
even tried tossing a frog :/
My first buck, got him Oct 8th
Santiago a great place to start is getting to know your prey and how it moves thinks fights ect. And my best advice is to go to old pros or older hunters and they would most likely love to tell you how.
Ayyyy brand new baitcaster.
abu garcia?
looks sick bro!
Fam that shit good af if you 50/50 deer and beef bruh
Add some a1 sauce on it when it’s done 👌
A 31.5 in. Snook my friend caught back in May
Snook.
Anyone know a good affordable beginning rod/reel combo for cat fish and bass
Cane pole...jk
it'll work^
just about any 3/0+ baitcaster or heavy duty spinning real matched with an appropriately sized ugly stick. I'll post a pic of my catfish setup in just a sec.
This is my Great-Grandpa's old catfish set up that was given to me. Its a Penn Senator (size 3/0) on a fiberglass sears&robuck rod.
pretty archaic, but it works. Personally, I recommend graphite over fiberglass as graphite is generally more durable and sensitive to fish vibrations. also, most 3/0s these days are half the size as the one I have.
for bass, I would go with a lighter set up. a 1/0 at most. I also like graphite rods for bass. If your only fishing for bullheads/small catfish, this will work just fine. Just don't expect to be landing 30lb behemoths on a bass rod.
This is my bass setup. Its an Abu Garcia black max on a Shakespeare Light Pro (ugly stick). If both setups have anything in common, its a good, long fighting butt. I recommend a long fighting butt for pretty much all rods.
with some exceptions* ofc. :)
hope this helps. tbh, really all that matters is that you get out and fish @SmokyCopCar
tight lines!
Yeah, appreciate it man. My brother and I have a canoe we want to fish out of but have nothing to fish with lmao. Thank you very much
If you have no other rods, I would actually just disregard everything I recommended and get a spinning reel instead. Baitcaster's (like both reels I I posted above) are incredibly smooth, but a pain in the ass to learn to use. not to mention expensive! <:KEK:726877368601411624>
My little brother got his first deer
Anyone here from South Florida?
