The AK 47 was designed in 1947, the AK 74 was designed in 1974 and has every good thing about the AK except a slightly smaller caliber. Because AK 47 caliber is honestly pretty big for a rifle.

And I myself would much prefer the slightly smaller caliber because I’m already on the smaller side of things and it would be easier for me to control and carrying Ammo is not as heavy if you have a lot of it
