SIG 552?
Sig 550
basicly ya
ooh never heard of that one before. I like it
i really want one but theyre not here
how come?
I can never keep the SIG rifle designations straight.
Except the MPX
they shoot 5.56, 20" barrel, swiss army standard rifle, 1:7/10 twists, long stroke piston gas system, AR style assembly
G3 style sights
I do like the look of them, but they'd be ridiculously expensive.
i found one for $7000+
plus theyre perfect winter rifles
I think I'd stick to an AK for that price
plus folding stock
well ya but look at that piece of art
its gorgeous, but doubt I will ever be able to afford that
Beautiful, but we're talking 7k. I could almost buy an AWM for that.
^
i mean i live in the snow so
id pay $1k without blinking
I may have a slight bias toward bolt-action precision rifles.
do ar15s have a hard time in snow? I wouldnt know, b/c have never really beem north of PA <:KEK:726877368601411624>
Severe sub zero weather like Siberia and Southern Canada (AKA Wisconsin and Minnesota).
i mean direct inpingement has built in reliability issues
I saw a video where they tested AK vs. AR in Russian winter and after leaving an AR for I think 6 hours in the snow and wind, it froze to the point that they couldn't pull the charging handle. The AK survived, though.
At that point though, why are you leaving your rifle unattended in Siberia for 6 hours?
or just carrying it
sub-zero is typical where im at
I think if you did a press check every so often, even just carrying it wouldnt freeze it. I mean you really have to try to get a modern gun to freeze (but to be fair AK will probably survive even if you try).
I'm not saying that a SIG 550 isn't worth it, I'm just saying I'd go for something different. They are beautiful and you probably couldn't go wrong with one.
i honestly havnt done any snow shooting
It sucks... at least it did with the Army.
i mean ive got all my bases covered
AR carbine, AKM, G3 battle rifle, RPK
I have an AR, my Kar98k and my 3 pistols. My collection is small, but I have what I need. I figure if it all goes to crap, I can load up and move out quickly.
That being said, I do have a list of guns that I want to buy..... an extensive and expensive list.
i have a few pistols but im more rifle-y
As far as pistols go, I think I'm good with what I have (except I want a P226). My desires are for carbines like the LaRue OBR 5.56 and G36, battle rifles like the M1A, and precision rifles like the AWM and a 6.5 CM... and finally an M134.
the m134 is that port gun, right?
Is a 6.5 creed considered a short action?
