Why I use a tried and true military pistola

2020-12-18 20:24:11 UTC

/law enforcement

2020-12-18 21:17:31 UTC

That issue has been fixed and there has been issues before with every Military/LE pistol issued before @Winnie37a @chromatically

2020-12-18 21:26:56 UTC

They lighten the tigger for p320 for a free fix by sig..it can be further fix by adding a manual safety. Winchester your fav the m9 had issues with feeding and slide problems sense its introduction into service. 1911 had issues with bad firing pins, bad mfg of mags, sometimes the hammer would sher off these were issues mostly fixed post ww1.

2020-12-18 21:34:15 UTC

CZ had its issues mostly trigger problems. As for LE pistols not completely sure but there are sometimes issues with most pistols they issue or choose to use are mostly civilian models. Point I'm trying to make is just to research your weapons yr purchasing.

2020-12-18 22:06:18 UTC

That was almost 2 years ago, its been fixed

2020-12-18 22:07:10 UTC

Still a good joke tho
“Drop the gun!”
“Sir! Hes got a sig!”
“Put the gun down carefully!”

2020-12-18 22:13:53 UTC

I think hes talking about the lawsuits by police which are more or about NDs but that really more on training than the pistol

2020-12-18 22:27:29 UTC

Yes I prefer guns that never had that issue so I don't have to wonder about the internals

2020-12-18 22:35:01 UTC

im a month away from 18, what do y'all suggest as a good first gun. im a sea cadet and have been around guns a lot, so im not new.

2020-12-18 22:40:15 UTC

Pistol or rifle?

2020-12-18 22:40:23 UTC

Which guns would that be @chromatically I mean basically those issues are no longer issues. It's a mechanical issue, which are usually can be fixed, whether it's a car, tool, etc

2020-12-18 22:44:21 UTC

either or, just something for self defense

2020-12-18 22:44:54 UTC

Maybe get a Turkish made knock off of the beretta 92

2020-12-18 22:45:13 UTC

They are not low quality, But you do get a price reduction because it’s just a different brand.

2020-12-18 22:45:33 UTC

Good full size handgun for the car that costs under 400

2020-12-18 22:46:01 UTC

alr, thanks. ill look into it!

2020-12-18 22:47:06 UTC

Or get a carbine, like a kel tec sub 2000

2020-12-18 22:49:16 UTC

so im in Oklahoma and its says i can get a handgun from a non-federal licensed dealer? what would be my options in getting a hand gun? private sale?

2020-12-18 22:50:00 UTC

sorry, not familiar in buying laws

2020-12-18 22:54:44 UTC

Question are all pawn shops ffl holders?

2020-12-18 22:54:58 UTC

Most of the time

2020-12-18 22:55:24 UTC

Just ask if they do Firearms transfers

2020-12-18 22:55:27 UTC

@xaplox144 get a real 92 they are only about $600

2020-12-18 22:55:44 UTC

So if they are I can get a rifle shipped to them then pick it up?

2020-12-18 22:56:23 UTC

Do the paperwork there or online?

2020-12-18 23:02:36 UTC

@Winnie37a when u transfer a Firearm to a FFL you'll be doing the paperwork there, it's not online, though after the sale the seller will ask which FFL your shipping it too. Be sure and ask about the process with that FFL holder

2020-12-18 23:03:58 UTC

1. Research ur gun laws
2. Then ask yourself what are useing the Firearm for
Sense OK in next to me I'm gonna say you could probably find Private sales more likely in a Gunshow bud, otherwise it will have to be an FFL.

2020-12-18 23:04:53 UTC

all right, will do, Thanks.

2020-12-18 23:08:27 UTC

Sea cadet?

2020-12-18 23:09:07 UTC

Are thinking of military service

2020-12-18 23:19:48 UTC

its a youth program sponsered by the navy, the minimum reqiurement is to go to bootcamp at rtc great lakes, but they also have other training oportunities like advanced mountain rescue, seal and SWCC training. and stuff like that. and u get real certifications and stuff.

2020-12-18 23:24:19 UTC

Yeah at 1st thought it was some civil program but then realised it was USN program. I've got 6y under my belt, what certification are you going for?

2020-12-18 23:32:42 UTC

ive been in for 4 years, im CPO of my division, i curantly have advanced mountain ropes rescue, cpr, closse quarter combat training, ive been to SWCC training in San diago, and a couple others, but this summer i want to do the advanced diving training in Hawaii but with covid that might be a longshot.

2020-12-18 23:36:04 UTC

wat are you going for

2020-12-18 23:37:01 UTC

Sound like your getting squared away for being a "Dirty Boat Guys" billet

2020-12-18 23:37:24 UTC

Oh I was in for USMC 03 to 09

2020-12-18 23:38:20 UTC

0311 with SDM training

2020-12-18 23:39:10 UTC

I was basically a squad marksman

2020-12-18 23:40:19 UTC

i wish i could join SWCC but i was recently diagnosed with T1 diabetes, so instead im going in as a contractor as an Air frame and Powerplant mechanic.

2020-12-18 23:40:39 UTC

did u like it in the marines?
