"Does Virginia Have a Castle Law?
Virginia is a Castle Doctrine state. There is no duty to retreat, and you can defend yourself anywhere you are legally allowed to be. Deadly force can only be used, however, if you or another person are under immediate threat of being killed or seriously injured."
USCCA says this, but we had police tell us one night that if we did defend our property, we would get in trouble unless our property was posted as private property with signs every 20 feet or something. ofc, we were renting at the time so they said that in that case, we were just out of luck. so is VA not castle doctrine?
I just wonder, cause I remember Texas was castle doctrine, and people would legit shoot at people just for stepping over the fence line. :/
I don’t think that trespassing should get you shot
Unless you kill a deer or mess up their field or something
agreed, but it still happened in TX. not exactly "self defense" imo.
the point im making though, is just that Texas really seemed like a castle doctrine state, but VA doesn't, at least to me. idk.
maybe people just didnt enforce the law in TX.
If there are posted signs where you can see them and a fence I believe you should be shot but not just walking into a field you didn’t know wasn’t your hunting land or whatever
right.
But idk about the particular laws
For each state
in our case, we legit had someone climbing on our shed roof every night for a while. they were pointing lasers at our windows for hours on end, and everytime we called the police, they ran away. my mom was worried and she asked if we could shoot them if they tried to break in, and the police said no, only if they are trying to kill you. :/
they said "kicking in a door doesnt justify you shooting in self defense" or something like that. :/
The first version in 9mm
wow an auto rifle?
it looks beautiful
semi-auto yes. i dont believe its a full-auto version though :/
no no its just called that
oh
so it doesn't actually autofire?
not unless its modified too
is it a rifle that shoots auto or semi
ffs
oof wrong link
if it shoots auto/burst
you don't need a license in virginia to carry unless you want to carry concealed
then that's beautiful
but since you're 18 you can't get a handgun yet
AR15 is the dead rifle
it constantly dies
I heard that it is horrible at shooting
constant jams
i guess I could still buy one via private sale? but ye, i dont want to open carry. the population is too liberal here
in NY this is too liberal
not necessarily. Some cheap ones or poorly made ones do have issues, but a good AR is fantastic.
no all sales are required to go through a ffl now in va
I thought we had till jan 1st?
I have seen youtube vids of it's constant jams
