Know ones that had a very limited capacity or single shot fired a large round filled with birdshot

2020-12-26 15:18:02 UTC

Something bit like that

2020-12-26 15:18:57 UTC

It's just, when I'm looking at it.

2020-12-26 15:19:07 UTC

No bolt.

2020-12-26 15:19:12 UTC

Not familiar with those kinds of firearms really, most were iffy to use and weren't used in military service

2020-12-26 15:19:14 UTC

How do you load it.

2020-12-26 15:19:50 UTC

Yeah 1st thing I saw no bolt or changing handle so I'm thinking maybe a semi automatic shotgun with a depress lever

2020-12-26 15:20:23 UTC

Load it and chamber a round after bolts traveled, but you'd still need a way to cycle the bolt

2020-12-26 15:21:15 UTC

Unless a work in progress and they're building a gun

2020-12-26 15:21:44 UTC

I doubt it, my uncle is no gunsmith that I know of.

2020-12-26 15:23:06 UTC

Gonna need to carve out the stock more, get a better barrel bloody hell it's rusted to hell! Sights or an optic, a working bolt action I'd reccomend for that probably aluminium alloy as slightly lighter receiver but keep the bolt steel since it's the moving part

2020-12-26 15:24:09 UTC

Probably go .30 caliber round with that .308 would be good nice balance between power and recoil, think need to make the rifle heavier or more robust for a 30-06

2020-12-26 15:24:31 UTC

And obviously give the wood a nice varnish

2020-12-26 15:24:58 UTC

Well, I'll have to ask my uncle. Since he left it out in the open, that thing would need a nice restoration. No one has touched it for years.

2020-12-26 15:25:44 UTC

Here in Spain we aren't very gun friendly, and it would be a shame one of the few we have, ends up like this.

2020-12-26 15:25:49 UTC

😆

2020-12-26 15:26:07 UTC

Looks like half the parts are either broken or missing, If I was still in the states I'd love to do her up

2020-12-26 15:27:06 UTC

Be what $250 full restoration and any modifications would be added onto the price but at a 20% discount as being restored

2020-12-26 15:27:18 UTC

What Ralph used to do lol

2020-12-26 15:27:54 UTC

Looks like a BB gun

2020-12-26 15:27:58 UTC

I'm looking at pictures, and maybe it's a pellet gun, not a real rifle.

2020-12-26 15:28:00 UTC

Good times working in the shop modding, repairing, restoring and of course testing guns

2020-12-26 15:28:19 UTC

Heh, I guess he suspects it too.

2020-12-26 15:28:32 UTC

Could be because I don't see from that angle how it loads

2020-12-26 15:29:01 UTC

Just based on the cheap cuts and no real action or striker hammer

2020-12-26 15:29:13 UTC

Cool bb gun tho

2020-12-26 15:29:42 UTC

Could if you really wanted rip it apart and convert it to a real rifle

2020-12-26 15:29:50 UTC

Regardless, I would like to restore it one day.

2020-12-26 15:29:51 UTC

Though would take some work

2020-12-26 15:29:52 UTC

Prob not...

2020-12-26 15:30:04 UTC

Though it's not real, it would be a cool first gun.

2020-12-26 15:30:10 UTC

It wouldnt be safe to convert

2020-12-26 15:30:27 UTC

Would for .22lr lol

2020-12-26 15:30:33 UTC

Prob not

2020-12-26 15:30:53 UTC

BB barrels are smooth bore and require no pressure rating

2020-12-26 15:31:19 UTC

Even 22lr needs a pressure rating or the barrel will peel lile a banana or explode in your face

2020-12-26 15:31:20 UTC

Yeah probably right really be best to simply build from scratch or buy a rifle

2020-12-26 15:32:13 UTC

Or just buy a cheap 22lr rifle for a couple hundred bucks

2020-12-26 15:32:18 UTC

My phone keeps bugging me to update, ffs I'll be back

2020-12-26 15:32:25 UTC

A laser. I don’t have a rail on the bottom of the handguard yet so yeah.
