Brother Gaines from Bellevue Baptist Church did an extremely long and thorough analysis of revelations. He started it in January of this year and only finished a month or so ago. I'd recommend watching a least several of the sermons to get a good idea about revelations.

Read the Bible and put it before everything in your life, also use it like a dagger when you get tempted, the word of God has enough power to straighten your life out.

I am sure mere words are hard to believe at this point. Being addicted to anything is horrible, I am sure. The Scripture says in 2 Timothy 1:7 "For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind" We are not told that things will only go smoothly for us, only that God will always be with us to help and guide us. Obviously addiction is not from God, although the temptation to do it again after breaking from it may be a test. 1 John 2:16, says "For everything in the world--the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life--comes not from the Father but from the world." God gives you advice on what to do when temptation comes: James 4:7, "Submit therefore to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you." and Romans 13:14, "But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh, to gratify its desires." So the guidelines are clear. Humans will be tempted- but you have to resist. You have to be strong but not just in your own strength. God loves us and is there to strengthen us and fight our battles with and for us when we cry out to Him.
Exodus 14:14 "The LORD will fight for you; you need only to be still.” " Deuteronomy 1:30 "The LORD your God, who goes before you, will fight for you, just as you saw Him do for you in Egypt" Psalm 34:17 "When the righteous cry for help, the Lord hears and delivers them out of all their troubles." Isaiah 41:10 "Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand." Ephesians 6:13 " Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand firm." 🙂
