They didn't make any political decisions. They just got the gains from the decisions made.

2020-12-29 01:21:01 UTC

The Old Testament is filled with religious people trying to play the politics game and dying from it

2020-12-29 01:21:29 UTC

they did xD

2020-12-29 01:21:34 UTC

Look at 1st and 2nd kings

2020-12-29 01:21:55 UTC

2020-12-29 01:22:01 UTC

2020-12-29 01:22:12 UTC

2020-12-29 01:22:20 UTC

2020-12-29 01:22:22 UTC

Jesus criticizes them for being false prophets

2020-12-29 01:22:22 UTC

my bad

2020-12-29 01:29:52 UTC

oh btw if u guys know the bible i am certain that you know the external writer "josephus" who brought us historical evidence of jesus's wonders and his death etc. he himself even wrote about the pharasees being politicians, they would solve a crisis together in their own "council" in wich they were there to decide what would happen, how the laws may change and many other things wich is literally a definition of being a politician

2020-12-29 01:33:06 UTC

you cannot deny that they were political leaders as well, but i do agree that they did a bad job in many things if it was religious or political

2020-12-29 01:36:43 UTC

originally they were not political figures but they did become it

2020-12-29 01:36:48 UTC

doesnt mean its good

2020-12-29 01:37:15 UTC

they also controlled the taxes under king's command

2020-12-29 01:37:20 UTC

wich is another huge part of being a politician

2020-12-29 01:37:26 UTC

controlled the local market

2020-12-29 01:37:32 UTC

another political thing

2020-12-29 01:37:42 UTC

so yeah

2020-12-29 01:37:46 UTC

they were political

2020-12-29 01:42:03 UTC

and i myself do want to go to bible college in budapest im not old enough yet though but just because you went to one does not mean you know everything you cant just say "i know the bible" when there is alot you do not know

2020-12-29 01:42:25 UTC

and that counts for everyone

2020-12-29 01:42:38 UTC

even the greatest scolars have innacurecies

2020-12-29 01:54:09 UTC

I know the Bible decently well

2020-12-29 01:54:26 UTC

I have written many research papers on different subjects

2020-12-29 01:54:55 UTC

Look into homiletics

2020-12-29 01:55:41 UTC

i believe you truly but you certainly dont know everything, wich was my point but anywaays

2020-12-29 01:55:48 UTC

they were political leaders

2020-12-29 01:55:58 UTC

You don't know everything either and can be wrong

2020-12-29 01:56:25 UTC

At this point it is a "that's what you are argument"

2020-12-29 01:57:18 UTC

I am leaving it as they were spiritual leaders (who sucked at their job) who did political stuff. Just because someone does political things it doesn't make them a politician

2020-12-29 01:58:19 UTC

^^^

2020-12-29 01:58:23 UTC

fr they sucked at it

2020-12-29 01:58:33 UTC

luckily a handful of them came to christ

2020-12-29 02:01:41 UTC

Yes, thankful a few did see the truth with Jesus
