That was one of my doctrinal mastery verses in seminary this year
I love that part of Alma where he is talking to his sons.
I always considered the D&C to be like the little brother of the BOM
Fair enough
Mine too
I can be a perfectionist at times and will occasionally get down on myself because I feel that I'm doing something wrong. That verse (the one I shared) popped out at me the other night and helped me get over it.
Lol who knew there were a bunch of Mormons in here
For me the D&C is important cause it is the first time i really paid attention to scriptures. My seminary experience started in the D&C, and before that I had kinda given up on church and scriptures and whatnot. Thankfully I had a great teacher who helped me to learn a lot.
Honestly. Kinda glad we found out though.
Me too
I found out when the whole fiasco about people debating the Church on here happened last week.
But glad there's more of us, feels less lonely
Do you think Mormons count as a minority
Even in utah (where I live) we have only a 40% population or something like that
Where in Utah?
I live in Utah County (not gonna say anything past that for privacy issues)
I mean we’ve had our extermination ordered twice, spit on (figuratively and literally), not allowed to vote, and people still make fun of Mormons today.
I'd have to agree with that
I'm living in Washington County ATM. If you could stop sending us your snowbird traffic, that'd be appreciated. 😄
Haha
Buy some spike strips.... maybe?
Hehe

Did they ever finish the construction on the highway up there?
Pssh, no
Still just as trashy as before.
Me, quietly living in Kansas
I haven't been up there since my Reserve unit stopped meeting in person for COVID.
Not missing out on much😂
I like Kansas. It's really pretty in the countryside.
My youth group finally gets to start meeting in person again after a month of virtual
It’s one big plain essentially
Kansas
Very true. It's just nice to be able to look out on a lot of it to me, being surrounded by mountains and whatnot.
I'm getting kinda tired of virtual. Except for the Army... that can stay virtual.
My youth group is still virtual right now. Really hard though, one of the kids in my group lost a sister a week ago.
Ouch. My condolences.
His other sister is out on a mission right now. She was able to come back for the funeral thankfully.
We get to go back for our annual New Year's Eve party, then we're going to start meeting regularly.
I wish things would go back to normal. I miss going to the temple.
