2021-01-07 19:45:32 UTC

@JT Schmidt (AR) Make a group chat with me and this guy

2021-01-07 19:45:37 UTC

Also I could debate you on why the second amendment is supported by Marxism but this isn't the chanel lol

2021-01-07 19:45:38 UTC

Next thing you know he'll be saying its a not a God given right to protect ourselves

2021-01-07 19:46:03 UTC

@ELIS314 Marx stalin nor lenin wanted to arm the people in fear of civil war

2021-01-07 19:46:11 UTC

but DM me for a debate on this

2021-01-07 19:46:15 UTC

So this argument specifically is about how we can lose our jobs just for posting our conservative beliefs on social media. I said this is messed up because the freedom of speech is our God given right. Then he said that nowhere in the Bible does it say this

2021-01-07 19:46:28 UTC

Freedom of press

2021-01-07 19:46:42 UTC

The bible doesn't dictate to overment

2021-01-07 19:46:45 UTC

Goverment*

2021-01-07 19:46:50 UTC

True

2021-01-07 19:47:02 UTC

Are there any Bible verses proving my point

2021-01-07 19:47:10 UTC

Maybe abt free will perhaps?

2021-01-07 19:47:26 UTC

The bible does say you can not listen to the government if they trying to take your reilgon away

2021-01-07 19:47:32 UTC

Proverbs 31:8-9

2021-01-07 19:47:34 UTC

This does

2021-01-07 19:47:35 UTC

kinda

2021-01-07 19:47:43 UTC

True. But I’m talking abt losing jobs

2021-01-07 19:47:47 UTC

“Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves, for the rights of all who are destitute. Speak up and judge fairly; defend the rights of the poor and needy.”

2021-01-07 19:48:37 UTC

That’s good. Then he’s gonna say that conservatives are being treated completely fairly

2021-01-07 19:48:41 UTC

Oh well

2021-01-07 19:48:45 UTC

So verses about how talking about one's belief shouldn't cause them to lose their job?

2021-01-07 19:48:49 UTC

Ig you can never rly win with a lib can you

2021-01-07 19:49:10 UTC

That and just that freedom of speech is a God given right

2021-01-07 19:49:21 UTC

The bible says the rich shall give to the poor, but it also saying you shouldn't force them its their choice and God will judge them

2021-01-07 19:49:34 UTC

I mean God gave us mouths so

2021-01-07 19:49:48 UTC

Nice come back 😆

2021-01-07 19:49:56 UTC

Lol facts

2021-01-07 19:50:34 UTC

Ok. Thanks y’all. This is prolly enough to argue with

2021-01-07 20:34:05 UTC

Jesus had the coolest last name ever

2021-01-07 20:34:17 UTC

Nazareth sounds so badass

2021-01-07 21:22:04 UTC

Here’s a verse that I always view when I’m sad. I’m sure that it can cheer you guys up too: Do not despair of the mercy of Allah. Quran 39:53

2021-01-07 21:24:44 UTC

mashallah

2021-01-07 21:45:13 UTC

didn't mohammed just make allah up?

2021-01-07 21:46:22 UTC

idk man i wouldn't trust someone that married and raped children but that's just me, you do you though.

2021-01-07 22:52:08 UTC

And then there's the whole thing about killing anyone who doesn't believe in allah

2021-01-07 23:02:10 UTC

@JT Schmidt (AR) an additional point to make could relate back to why we have free will. God doesn't want robots, He wants us to be able to make decisions and choose to love Him.
But with free will, man will inevitably choose to do wrong, and society gets corrupted (look to the days of Noah, and of Lot, for example). So if we were not within the right to speak what we want, a corrupted society could easily ban Christianity's teachings and words, making so we can't share the Gospel, which Jesus commanded us to do.
In fact, that's what happened in Jesus' day. The Apostles were all hunted down and killed (besides 1, who was exiled on an island) for what they were teaching/saying. If God didn't give us the right to speak what we want, then why would He have told the Apostles and others to share the word of Jesus when teaching it could get them killed?
A point could be made about that being different because it's a command from God, so that it doesn't count. But look back again to the time of Jesus. When Jesus was spoken against, He didn't tell them not to speak as such, He instead talked about God, verses in the Bible, and who He was and what He was there to do (along with a few others).
