Well. If it stirs up anger in you and is in this chat, sometimes it is best to wait until someone else can respond who can do some buffering.

2021-01-08 03:25:02 UTC

and then i wonder why they're upset they should know what's in the book so why would they be upset when someone points it out

2021-01-08 03:25:03 UTC

If it is in person, politely ask if they are willing to discuss what they believe.

2021-01-08 03:25:26 UTC

If things get heated, step away and let things cool down.

2021-01-08 03:25:51 UTC

But also, be mindful of how you word things.

2021-01-08 03:25:59 UTC

ah yeah

2021-01-08 03:26:11 UTC

there really isn't a good way to word some of the things though

2021-01-08 03:26:59 UTC

If I posted a verse from the Bible, and someone responded to it in a negative manner, I would ask why they feel that way.

2021-01-08 03:27:21 UTC

It is good to understand where the other person is coming from.

2021-01-08 03:27:36 UTC

well it would be like a Christian getting upset over a verse in the Bible being posted

2021-01-08 03:27:51 UTC

Out of context probably

2021-01-08 03:28:17 UTC

But I mean if the other person was making remarks about the verse.

2021-01-08 03:29:00 UTC

For example: posting a verse about God loving the people of the world

2021-01-08 03:29:14 UTC

And someone going, well that is a lie because bad things happen

2021-01-08 03:29:48 UTC

I need to know where they are coming from before I can respond appropriately

2021-01-08 03:30:29 UTC

Maybe they had a death in the family or a friend, maybe their life is hectic, or maybe they just want to start a fight

2021-01-08 03:30:57 UTC

i definitely didn't say it in a way that was approachable

2021-01-08 03:44:38 UTC

we should all follow asha, and i think the bible, both testiments has some solid stoic truth therein

2021-01-08 03:46:19 UTC

Asha?

2021-01-08 03:54:57 UTC

The path of rightousness, how Zoroastrain pray, think goopd thought, say good words, do good deeds, it has a lot of interpritations

2021-01-08 03:55:35 UTC

I will stick with Jesus.

2021-01-08 04:00:20 UTC

I'll just stick to faith in Jesus. At least I can be forgiven if I screw up.

2021-01-08 04:04:09 UTC

Amen to that

2021-01-08 04:06:20 UTC

i had never even heard of that religion

2021-01-08 04:06:41 UTC

is it still practiced these days?

2021-01-08 04:07:28 UTC

I think so as Chaz mentioned it.

2021-01-08 04:07:51 UTC

says it is but there's only like 200,000 people mostly in iran and india

2021-01-08 04:08:17 UTC

Christianity started small as well

2021-01-08 04:08:26 UTC

All religions started small

2021-01-08 04:08:50 UTC

this was started 4,000 years ago so they say

2021-01-08 04:12:57 UTC

Okay, no. They did not help form the Hebrew bible =.=

2021-01-08 04:13:15 UTC

They didn't influence the Jewish religion

2021-01-08 04:13:36 UTC

Oh wait, it is the History channel

2021-01-08 04:13:47 UTC

yeah it is the history channel

2021-01-08 04:17:47 UTC

this one is a bit more detailed

2021-01-08 04:29:40 UTC

interesting i'd never heard of this before now

2021-01-08 04:35:47 UTC

@Kit_DewStein just to clarifiy, my religeon says jesus is the son of god, the one and only god, and jesus was birthed from a virgin mother and shall come a second time at the end.

2021-01-08 04:36:50 UTC

also I'm not super devot, they just have less rules, more gays, more fire, and a pretty simple doctrine about being good

2021-01-08 04:38:33 UTC

Which, if there are teachings against the Bible, I don't plan to be enthusiastic about your religion

2021-01-08 04:51:54 UTC

no, it predates the bible
