@Tsar Vladimir Putin Iranian tanks go boom

2020-07-24 17:16:41 UTC

Iran: No! You can't use uranium depleted ammunitions against our tanks.

2020-07-24 17:16:55 UTC

USAF: Ha ha, tanks go boom

2020-07-24 17:18:35 UTC

Wait

2020-07-24 17:18:50 UTC

They have tanks?

2020-07-24 17:22:17 UTC

Not anymore🤣

2020-07-24 17:25:28 UTC

At this point I'd say that Iran's F-14 Tomcats are a paper tiger.

2020-07-24 18:32:58 UTC

Gotta give the drones credit too, I do agree with Elon Musk that modern warfare will be mostly UAVs and we should really put way more focus into it

2020-07-24 21:10:48 UTC

I think starlink is a fantastic thing but we should not create something that hinders us from looking in to Gods creation

2020-07-24 22:50:08 UTC

This is a big argument among freinds but I personally beleive the worlds most dense constellation of global satellite communication and internet access greatly outweighs the cost of astronomical disturbances

2020-07-24 22:50:50 UTC

With the democratization of space it's also about time to move astronomical studies to low earth orbit, not from the surface

2020-07-24 22:52:19 UTC

Also starlink appears like that only under long exposure photography. With it's new coating it reduces reflection by 50%

2020-07-24 22:54:01 UTC

We already have over 2,000 satellites and no one cared. Sure starlink may have a brighter reception due to the nature of it's solar cells and how it's in LEO, but any satellite will cause disturbances just the same

2020-07-24 23:22:30 UTC

And its in very low earth orbit

2020-07-24 23:25:55 UTC

Haha yes, in fact it actually gets a bit of the edge of our atmosphere that each sat has a roughly 2 year life before deorbit due to the air resistance

2020-07-24 23:29:42 UTC

Only 2? Damn. I thought they lasted longer.

2020-07-24 23:29:51 UTC

Good thing they're so small and inexpensive.

2020-07-24 23:33:28 UTC

That's if it's onboard thrusters don't raise the orbit now and then

2020-07-24 23:34:42 UTC

It'll last longer than that, but after fuel is depleted, it'll fall back to earth within 2 years on it's own. But Space X said they'll deorbit with the thrusters when the sat is unusable. The lifecycle of one is still uncertain

Watch out Chyna, the Sea Raptor is coming to town.
