Another example is starlink. Sure not a cubesat, but still a relatively small spacecraft. With a swarm it's cheap, you can lose a few, you don't need one 3 billion dollar satellite taking 10 years to build
I'm not saying we're there yet
But just look at the progress we made in space just in the last 10 years
It's insane
It's like Apollo era back from the dead but with private companies
And modern techncology
yea I guess
still think mars will take 40 years but that's just me
Space pessimist vs optimist
eh
pessimism is better
because you can't be disappointed
anything is a bonus
True, but it does make you work harder ;)
yup
Like I was supposed to launch 2 years ago
?
Eh hem I had a break down midway from frustration
oof
I hope to get some launches in 2021
And I thought I could launch something right away
Lol
aim for the stars and if you miss you'll still be around the sun
Lol no
I'm aiming for 300 ft AGL
The biggest I dream atm is suborbital
My freind is doing it. Mach 4 rocket, it's so cool
Wish I could do that lol
someday I hope to work on sats
it's quite a big industry here in the UK
Well you can work on suborital weather balloon cubesats
Or even picketqube
I need to get some qualifications first
and/or money
Yes true, I mean just the solar cells
Wew they were pricey
I saw so many people asking why not just use solar cells from hobby stores
Lol the sun would fry those in space
I want to send my own cubesat so bad
