Bi prop or solids? Are you making any APCP? I'm actaully working on a propulsion test stand and some carbon composite nozzles and casings utilizing 3D printing

I make solid fuel engines

Working on a mixture, but it keeps blowing out the nozzle or exploding the body, so I need to have a bigger hole for the nozzle

But no, I make basically rocket candy, but with other additives. I make my own black powder. The addition of the black powder is what's making them explode. My white powder engines, they're fine. My standard rocket candy, fine. But the addition of about 10% black powder.... Boom

My best engine so far went up about 300 feet, turned left, and soared completely out of sight

Actually, thinking of it, it had to be more than 300 feet

Once I started making more powerful rocket candy I was plagued with nozzle blowouts

I usually make throats 1mm bigger than deisgned for testing

So I capped the ends and then packed clay. That resulted in it going up about 50 feet, then exploding

And 3D printed mandrels

But the last test I did was a PVC engine (3/4) but I capped the end, then packed with clay, then fuel, then clay, then cap again. Drilled the nozzel through the cap and clay

It was a flying IED

No recovery charge

I make rockets out of pool noodles and anything laying around, so I don't care if I lose it, although that's not preferable

I don't recommend PVC

Have you seen what it did to a lot of rocketers

It's X-ray transparent

So shrapnel wounds meant they can't get em all out at the ER

I normally wrap them so if they should explode they won't send shrapnel everywhere
