777

2021-01-03 04:11:37 UTC

I can agree with that

2021-01-03 04:13:04 UTC

I mean the 777 is going to be around longer than either the A380 or the 74 at this point

2021-01-03 04:16:30 UTC

Well 747 has still reigned far longer than the A380. And 747 will continue awhile as a cargo plane even if not doing passenger services any more

2021-01-03 04:16:53 UTC

But in the long run dual engines will prevail as they get better and better and more efficient

2021-01-03 04:18:11 UTC

They ever get the 777 max out? I’ve kinda been out of aviation 2 1/2ish years and am trying to get back into it

2021-01-03 04:21:10 UTC

There is no 777 max

2021-01-03 04:21:12 UTC

2021-01-03 04:21:44 UTC

Also I hear that some A380s are being converted to cargo

2021-01-03 04:21:56 UTC

777x

2021-01-03 04:22:01 UTC

God damnit

2021-01-03 04:22:09 UTC

<:KEK:726877368601411624>

2021-01-03 04:22:38 UTC

And yes it's flying

2021-01-03 04:22:45 UTC

Sweet

2021-01-03 04:23:05 UTC

I was following that planes development when it wasn’t flying

2021-01-03 04:23:22 UTC

Biggest mistake I’ve made is taking a break from following stuff

2021-01-03 04:23:23 UTC

They're flying four

2021-01-03 04:23:35 UTC

Still in testing I’m assuming?

2021-01-03 04:24:55 UTC

Yes. It's not going to enter passenger service until 2022 at least.

2021-01-03 04:25:42 UTC

I do think it's almost ready

2021-01-03 04:26:31 UTC

Well that’s good too know. Can’t wait to see it flying commercial

2021-01-03 04:27:12 UTC

Its cockpit design is pretty much the same as the 787's

2021-01-03 04:28:04 UTC

Yeah. Not really surprising tbh

2021-01-03 04:28:32 UTC

It's basically a 777 with 787 technology

2021-01-03 04:28:42 UTC

It's not like the 737 MAX

2021-01-03 04:29:05 UTC

Yes I've seen people compare the two

2021-01-03 04:30:00 UTC

Because a 775,000 pound plane is comparable with a 220,000 pound one

2021-01-03 04:30:01 UTC

No. And hopefully those maxes will not have any more issues

2021-01-03 04:32:30 UTC

The 777X is the largest twinjet ever constructed

2021-01-03 04:32:41 UTC

Really irritates me seeing over and over seeing people who have not a clue about flying hunks of metal talk about the max like they know what they are saying. All the hateful people are just echoing news

2021-01-03 04:32:52 UTC

I actually didn’t know that, that’s cool

2021-01-03 04:33:22 UTC

It will be the longest airliner built

2021-01-03 04:34:09 UTC

It will also have the second greatest wingspan

2021-01-03 04:34:21 UTC

After the A380 of course

2021-01-03 04:34:33 UTC

Knew the wing span, they still doing the folding wingtip thing?

2021-01-03 04:35:46 UTC

Yes

2021-01-03 04:36:04 UTC

They're doing it so it can operate at airports the regular 777 can

2021-01-03 04:36:43 UTC

It's 9 feet longer than the A350-1000

2021-01-03 04:36:52 UTC

Has a higher capacity

2021-01-03 04:37:11 UTC

Yeah, they don’t want to have to replace stuff for the wings

2021-01-03 04:37:55 UTC

That was an issue with the A380. Its wingspan was so big that airports had to be overhauled to accommodate it
