not the lewis structure
Oooooh, ok
I think I get it
2 K + Cl2 → 2 KCl
You're drawing the places that the molecule connects between each atom?
That's the equation itself.
I'm trying to show the equation itself in a drawn form.
Ok
and forgot since I just had winter break
Yeah, I go back to school tomorrow
I know this is super simple, just forgot
Shoot i can't remember how they connect... potassium gives the electron to chlorine to fill the shell, right?
Would it show the remaining elements? In the end of the equation?
Potassium + Chlorine forms potassium chloride
Just needs to be the equation
nothing too special
2 K + Cl2 → 2 KCl
2 groups of potassium chloride
2 groups of potassium
then Cl2
So you would draw 2 K and 2 Cl and then draw 2 KCl and a line between the two of them with the number of electrons being swapped
2Cl and Cl2 is the same sure, but it must reflect it being Cl2
Mmm
I could draw it rq and give an example
Yeah, please
brb then
I am a little confused
I'm heading into work, but I can check back in a little bit
well
I don't have much time
Sorry it is sideways ;;
Idk if that's right
Probably not
I am not right either...
that might be closer
I feel like that is closer.
I think a combination of yours and kits where there is a potassium for each chlorine and then the chlorine are connected would be right.
