I've been saying that for hours here but no one listened to me. The constitution was a great piece of legal art. But it failed to do what it was meant to do. There is no power vacuum. If conservatism is the true political power to preserve and conserve a great culture, it must play for keeps, even if the form of government it takes is not what libertarians dream about.
