So basically, their evil plan is to kill trees by not allowing them to produce CO2 in order to release O2, so that their plan of colonizing another planet can be successfully done, as we'd lack more and more oxygen because they'd be slowly but surely killing trees while blaming on global warming for their mischief.
That's my conspiracy theory.
And! They don't mention trees at all in their plan against global warming -- their only use, at least to the activists, is to hug them.
