To some point I agree but for that Crowder quote, I think that he also said that there was a difference between "forfeiting your right to live" and "deserving to die".
We also want to be careful with giving the Government the power to execute people, which is one of the reason's it takes so long to fulfill the capital punishment once you are sentenced with it.

on the matter of the death penalty, for extreem cases I am not agaisnt it, but you must allow the jury post trail veto power, so that one may not be wrongfully exacuted
and if we're gonna do it, lethal injection are better than firing squads but worse than a guillotine
Id say firing squad is better, frankly because bullets are very cheap and a buncha them can kill very quickly

And if you dont wanna risk the mental health of the guys behind the gun, just have a system rigged up with the guns on stands and are fired with a button press from another room instead of a few guys behind the trigger
