I want to show through an understanding of the political spectrum

2020-09-04 17:52:23 UTC

And the nazi history specifically

2020-09-04 17:52:36 UTC

How it doesn't belong on the right

2020-09-04 17:52:54 UTC

You get it?

2020-09-04 17:53:51 UTC

Thats a tough one. Acadamia doesnt really like a light shined on their ideologies

2020-09-04 17:54:04 UTC

Academia?

2020-09-04 17:55:16 UTC

Yes. My 2¢? If you need it to graduate, may want to rethink the premise of your essay

2020-09-04 17:56:22 UTC

You need to do it. Not have an A

2020-09-04 17:56:44 UTC

But, it's a little too late for that now

2020-09-04 17:56:56 UTC

I mean, from an unbiased standpoint, look at what the Nazi party actually stood for and break that down. The Nazi Party was shortened from the National Socialist Party. So the Nationalist part is the belief that their country is superior. Generally, that tends to be a more "right" leaning premise to be proud of one's country. That being said the socialist part is a very left leaning economic stance. The end result of the party was a dictatorship, with the belief they were superior (nationalist) and the "redistribution" from the Jews to the rest of the government.

2020-09-04 17:57:22 UTC

During the summer you already have zoom calls discussing how you'll do it

2020-09-04 17:57:32 UTC

With your assigned tutor

2020-09-04 17:58:08 UTC

I mean, weren't soviets really nationalist too?

2020-09-04 17:58:17 UTC

For the motherland and everything?

2020-09-04 17:58:38 UTC

I wish you luck. My daughter failed a semester 1 womens studies class for writing an essay called “Victimhood is not Feminism”

2020-09-04 17:58:53 UTC

That notion is flawed too, since that attribute doesn't pertain to an specific side

2020-09-04 17:58:55 UTC

Honestly, your best way to go about it is to break the party up and define those terms. You could also get into the overall backing of eugenics. And I don't recall.

2020-09-04 17:59:42 UTC

Also how Giovanni Gentile, one of the creators of Fascism, studied Marx

2020-09-04 17:59:52 UTC

And was influenced by his work

2020-09-04 18:00:32 UTC

I mean, facism and communism/socialism go hand in hand. To take money or "redistribute the wealth" requires theft from an authoritative figure.

2020-09-04 18:01:21 UTC

That's the thing. One of my totally not unbiased books talks about how it was controlled by "the great businessmen"

2020-09-04 18:01:32 UTC

Oh

2020-09-04 18:01:46 UTC

And originally, I was going to ask you about a quote from the book

2020-09-04 18:01:59 UTC

For you to give your opinion

2020-09-04 18:02:27 UTC

Not only do they cite an italian communist that says how fascism and communism are similar

2020-09-04 18:03:22 UTC

But the authors say, referring to the use of the words "far-right, ultra-right, neofascism, radical right"

2020-09-04 18:03:26 UTC

And I quote

2020-09-04 18:04:00 UTC

"Though we are aware how this expressions correspond to different political realities."

2020-09-04 18:04:12 UTC

How am I supposed to understand this?

2020-09-04 18:04:52 UTC

So what, for the sake of convenience you will blatantly miscaracterise the system you're trying to explain to me?

2020-09-04 18:06:36 UTC

Fascism is not distinctly right or left, as anarchy is neither of the two. If you use the political compass, which is flawed in many ways, the aspect of authoritarianism is at the top, where the libertarian aspect is at the bottom. This is because you can have leftist authoritarianism through Communism and Socialism, which tends to be fascist/run by a dictator.

2020-09-04 18:07:33 UTC

On a political compass, Nazism is around very top center

2020-09-04 18:07:58 UTC

But it is more economically interventionist. It is not a mixed system

2020-09-04 18:08:07 UTC

Not particularly. It is near the top, but based on the socialist ideals, it tends to be farther left.

2020-09-04 18:08:12 UTC

The businessmen are told how much to produce, and to whom

2020-09-04 18:08:17 UTC

What to produce

2020-09-04 18:08:26 UTC

There was a lot of bureaucracy

2020-09-04 18:08:40 UTC

That I saw in another less biased book

2020-09-04 18:08:50 UTC

Called "The Vampire Economy"

2020-09-04 18:09:21 UTC

That a gentleman in a Youtube comment section kindly shared
