You know, i think iv realised one of the reasons why the EU has been as unsuccessful as an attempt at a federationesque deal compared to America. they do not have a region independant of any country that sits as the governing location (like DC for America) of the EU. Instead they have the leading bodies of the EU reside in one country (currently Germany) which has lead its high members to fulfill their own self indulgences for their home country instead of the Federation as a whole, which is what has lead to many nations like Britian pulling out because their needs to survive were being tramppled on by the likes of Germany and France

And why Poland is saying F you to the EU after having its funding stripped away for various reasons and being footed a large part of the bill

the success of the EU has a lot to do with the fact that America took over protecting them

look at the size of their militaries... I think the UK has by far the largest

basically we charge all of europe to be their defense force... and it has been this way pretty much since WWII

@Zilla that is the main reason the EU even has an economy today because they don't have a massive military budget. If America cut just the military budget down to what say France spends on their military which is around 10-20b per year... We wouldn't even have a national deficit if we could cut our military budget down to EU levels 🙂

I know a few people are crying "US spends 750b on military when they aren't even in a war kek".... I laugh and told a few of them that if the USA didn't have to protect half of Asia and all of Europe then we wouldn't need to spend but 350b or so on our Military

so the average GDP per citizen is still below poverty in the USA

the crazy part is that China has a massive monopoly on super conductors which are used in almost all electronic devices.... so the fact that they control production of almost 80% of the worlds super conductors is my main concern if we ever go to war with them....
