Nathaniel Hawthorne wrote a short story about how people are inherently evil, it's about a guy who is accompanied by the devil down a dark road leading to a procession of a sacrifice of his wife "Faith" by the people in his village who are supposed to be good: the preacher, clergyman, etc. He wakes up realizing it was a dream, but is still left with this realization, he lives the rest of his days in bitter scrutiny of those around him, believing them to actually be evil people.

Well the definition of that is a dislike for humanity. Which isn’t really what I’m saying. I’m saying everyone is inherently evil. That doesn’t mean we can’t do good. But we have to get good, we are born evil

Babies are neutral like animals but when a human becomes I'd say 5 they are inherently evil or really when they become developed enough to understand good from bad at least at a childs level
