We present orcs and drow in a new light in two of our most recent books, Eberron: Rising from the Last War and Explorer's Guide to Wildemount. In those books, orcs and drow are just as morally and culturally complex as other peoples. We will continue that approach in future books, portraying all the peoples of D&D in relatable ways and making it clear that they are as free as humans to decide who they are and what they do.

I never really based my idea of DnD races completely off the handbook anyway lol

Pretty much, biggest thing most were excited for that I'm kinda off on is that they're either going to edit the rules of races it make it an alternate rule

So ability score improvement will be based off of class not races

Yeah I’d they go making changes to the rules for it that will be annoying

Orcs in the direct lore are vikings

They got a one eyed chieftant deity and a version of valhalla

People that think the race is black just think that black people naturally look like Orcs

so in other words changing what the book says wont change anything
