I believe that if we want to make US healthcare less expensive, remove the patents on medicine and I GUARENTEE you that prices would drop signficantly because the competition would rise making the prices drop due to demand. That's how capitalism works. But patents prevent this from happening ruining the whole idea of capitalism

@TheBlackRedneck like i said earlier, patents also protect companies rights to certain products so yes, for medicine and such, remove patents but keep them for new businesses that spring up around the development of new technology so that they aren't ripped off by larger companies
