i had no idea what to do, so i jsut stopped using it

but it randomly works again

Open it up and clean out the dust in it

the hdd and all that stuff is new

i only installed it a few months ago

it jsut one day stopped working

i took it all out and reseated everything, still nothing

I cant be assed to trouble shoot a ps2, just sell it on craigslist for $20 and buy a new phat off ebay
