there for sure is a difference between different DACs, ive used cheap and nicer ones
for most people it doesnt matter, but doesnt mean it never matters
i mean the main reason DACs exist is because the sound card thats built into computers doesnt cut it for a lot of people so they need a specialized thing
it exists so people can have something to burn money on
just because the difference doesnt matter for you doesnt mean it doesnt exist for anyone else

ive used cheap ass DACs, some behringer shit, and ive used nicer ones. the difference was fairly noticeable for output and super noticeable for input

its a matter of what youre doing and your own preferences
you can get a great interface that wont bottleneck anything reasonable for like 70 bucks, no reason to be scared of 70 bucks if you care and work with audio or do recording
also dongles wont work if, god forbid, you need to use an xlr mic
