Yup
@Simpnautica when it was just pure economics
Democracy as a greek idea is different than what's being applied in the states. The greek idea of democracy is hard to implement and will lead to failure
the EU is still kind of good, but they ask a lot
Yes, but now it's full of shitty policies
benefits probably JUST go over the negatives
It weird that alot of 3rd world nations blame 1st world for their problems
> i mean the EU was good many years ago
@Simpnautica Was it ever? I don’t remember voting for it. Every treaty of any nation should be re-voted every 10 years by its people to be valid. NAFTA, Asean, every treaty, even if it’s a big checklist where you have to vote by ticking yes in each box. Power to the people.

@Black Box Painting 😂 😂 😂
I had a friend from Czech who always complained about the migrants they were not allowed to arrest or turn away despite the fact they were doing criminal activity

@Alexis Fontana yeah it was pretty good economically
When th 1st world tried to industrialise them
But nooo
We wanna rule our own
and when you have a good economy... you can have other nice things
And then go into a complete civil war
@Riku what
Europe has no spine change my mind

@Simpnautica I’m proud of the 2bn$ fine to Microsoft in the ‘00s, but it’s the same with every government: Every once in a while, they do something that is popular, so people have a reason to stay and it shuts up the criticizers. But that is forgetting the 1000s of bad decisions, like feminist decisions being taken in the EU to avoid every country having a choice.
Yeah she was studying over here and kept complaining about 'gypsies and migrants' ruining her home and how difficult it is to police them or even just manage them
Very outspoken about it too. And the regulations about their food ticked her off too
How are the Chezchs atheist and very conservative?

@Alexis Fontana well ik the people in the government aren't really specialists but some of them are and make the best logical decisions for a country
Most atheist I meet are very liberal
Ikr. I have no idea
> well ik the people in the government aren't really specialists but some of them are and make the best logical decisions for a country
@Simpnautica usually people in power just make decisions based on what the consultants recommend
yeah but that's like advisers to a king
the king can make whatever bad decisions he wants
Wake and bake
Anyway, it was nice to have a *mostly* peaceful conversation with you all, would like to thank Zed for bringing us together <:ZedBiden:769281795228958740>
