Because you most likely have laws that "prohibit hate speech, restrict the second amendments" etc. The United States protects the right to protest, the right to bear arms, etc. We have rights in the US that are granted by God, not by the government.

We have actual freedom to speak out against the government. I may not agree with the protests, but they have the right to protest. The freedom to protest.
