i really wish cpu manufacturers were more detailed in their press release specs, like

tdp just tells you how big a heatsink to buy, not really how much power it'll use

they could make nice little graphs

Nvidia likes to market a lower tdp as a way to gain market shard

Not in anyway related to actual power draw

lower as in lower than it actually is or lower as in focus on that rather than power at idle or w/e
